Before the event
Watch the 5 modules outlining the 5Ps of the SDGS: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnerships. You can find these short 2-3 minute videos by scrolling down!
Session 1
On TBD, you’ll have access to Session 1: SDGs Deep Dive Interactive Keynote, presented by youth activist Steve Lee. You’ll learn about the SDGs - their history, their targets, their indicators, and more.
Session 2
On TBD, join us for Session 2: Localization, for a seminar that will give you specific examples of real ways youth can engage with the SDGs in their local communities. We’ll discuss where and how you can actually intervene and innovate to make an impact. Following the Localization seminar, there will be a live Q&A period with Steve Lee to answer any questions about Session 1 or 2.
Session 3
Continuing on TBD, you will participate in our Action-Plan Development Workshop. We’ll go through practical ways to begin SDGs projects in your local community and the steps on how to convert those ideas into action!
Post event
Once you’ve completed all of these sessions, you’ll be invited to our United Nations Speaker Series! We’ll bring in UN Officials every week to talk about their experiences implementing the SDGs in their work and to connect with you during a live Q&A. These sessions are optional so you get to pick whichever UN Speakers you’re most interested in.
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a "blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all". The SDGs were set up in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and are intended to be achieved by the year 2030. They are included in a UN Resolution called the 2030 Agenda or what is colloquially known as Agenda 2030. The SDGs follow and expand on the Millennium Development Goals which ended in 2015.
